Shrink Wrap UK Ltd, trading as Shrink Wrap Malta, is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and through enquiries made to us by phone, WhatsApp or email.

What we collect

• Enquiry details you send us through the website form, WhatsApp, phone or email: your name, phone number, email address, company or vessel name, the location of the boat or site, details of the job and any photos you send.
• Website analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies: pages visited, approximate location (country or city), device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. See our cookie policy.

Why we use it and our lawful basis

• To reply to your enquiry, survey and quote — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
• To carry out and invoice the work if you go ahead — performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) and legal obligation for accounting records (Art. 6(1)(c)).
• To understand how the website is used — your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer.

We do not sell your data, use it for automated decision-making, or send marketing without your consent.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers needed to run the website and the business, under contract and only for these purposes:

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where they do, the transfer is covered by an adequacy decision or by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don’t lead to work are deleted within 24 months. Records of work carried out are kept for as long as accounting and tax law requires. Analytics data is retained for 14 months.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email [email protected] and we’ll respond within one month.

Complaints

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, please tell us first. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. In Malta that is:
